Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked shredded chicken Rotisserie preferred
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese For that stretchy melt
  • 1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Or use Monterey Jack, provolone
  • 2–3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh is best, but paste works too
  • 2 tbsp Cream cheese or mayonnaise Your choice — both work
  • 4 large Flour tortillas Burrito or soft taco size
  • 2 tbsp Butter or olive oil For pan toasting
  • To taste Salt and black pepper Taste the filling before wrapping

Equipment

  • Skillet or non-stick frying pan Preferably cast iron for best crisp and even browning
  • Mixing bowl To combine filling (chicken, cheese, garlic, etc.)
  • Spatula or tongs For flipping the wraps gently while toasting
  • Knife & cutting board For mincing garlic and prepping garnishes

Method

  1. Make the filling: In a bowl, mix chicken, mozzarella, cheddar, garlic, and cream cheese or mayo. Season with salt, pepper, and any extras (paprika, chili flakes).
  2. Warm the tortillas: Microwave or heat each tortilla briefly to make folding easier.
  3. Assemble the wraps: Spoon filling onto tortillas. Fold the bottom, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly.
  4. Toast the wraps: In a skillet with butter or oil, toast wraps seam-side down for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  5. Let them rest: Remove from pan and let sit for 1–2 minutes so the cheese settles.
  6. Serve: Slice in half and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make ahead? You can prep the wraps a day in advance and store them in the fridge (uncooked). Toast fresh for the best crunch.
  • Freezer-friendly? Yep — wrap them tightly in foil and freeze. Thaw in the fridge overnight, then crisp in a skillet or air fryer.
  • Don’t skip the rest time! Letting the wraps sit for 1–2 minutes after cooking helps the cheese settle and keeps everything from spilling out.
  • Serving tip: These pair great with a small salad, roasted veggies, or even just chips and your favorite dip.
